Our Story
Although this traditional Turkish family originating from Niğde has spread to various branches of business in the business life that they started four generations ago, over time, they mainly focused on cheese and butter.
The headquarters of the company was moved from Niğde to Izmit and then to Istanbul by Bahattin TACIROĞLU and has been a leader in the cheese sector in Turkey since the 40s.
With the sudden death of Bahattin TACIROGLU in 1965, Ali Zafer TACIROGLU became the head of the company, he tried to make TACIROGLU cheese production into an industry and started exporting.

founder of the Taciroglu Group of Companies, which contributed to the Turkish economy and cheese industry and achieved many firsts,
passed away on 16.12.2021.
We commemorate him with respect and longing.

Mega Center
He established the Istanbul Food Wholesalers Cooperative between 1995-2010 and continued his duty as the Chairman of the Board of Directors until 2010. He built the Mega Center Food Complex, which operates in Bayrampasa/Istanbul today, turned it into a Mega business center and brought it into Turkish Trade life.
Social Responsibility Projects
Within the scope of University-Private Sector cooperation, projects has been implemented for young people by cooperating with universities such as Boğaziçi, İstanbul, İTÜ, ODTÜ, Bahçeşehir and Yeditepe Universities in order to enable young people who are still studying at universities and vocational schools to practice the knowledge they have acquired, to prepare themselves for life and to contribute to their family budgets. This program has provided many young people with internships and the opportunity to practice what they have read.

We have completed the registration of Peysan brand.

With Peysan, we have created a new industry branch in the production of fabricated dairy products.
We Made Turkey's First Export to Iran
For the first time in the history of Turkey, we exported cheese to Iran.
The First Sea Buses
As Alba INC. between 1984 and 1989, we imported 10 catamaran ships from Norway and delivered them to Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality for public service.
Live Stock
As Tarım-Taç A.S. we have provided the importation of high milk yielding animals in Europe and their delivery to Turkish producers to improve the ration of dairy animals in Turkey and increase its sustainability.
We Opened the Keşan Factory
We brought the production activities carried out in 17 dairy farms in different provinces and districts together, and started our modern production factory, established on an area of 30.000 m2 in Edirne Keşan.
Ornamental Plants – Import of Trees
As Tarım-Tac AŞ., we imported plants of different categories from Italy to be used in environmental regulations and landscape studies and offered these products to municipalities, housing estate, tourism facilities and private enterprises.
We Incorporated SEK Company to Our Constitution
We bought the Dairy Industry Institution Istanbul factory and its naming rights. Due to the opinion of our Chairman of the Board of Directors, Ali Zafer Taciroglu, that “privatization should not become a monopoly, everyone should participate, so that different ideas can arise”, we included the leading cheese companies in the company and turned it into a profitable enterprise. Then we sold it to the Koç group in August 1997.
Mozzarella Production
By bringing experts from Italy to our Keshan factory, we obtain a recipe worthy of Peysan quality and started producing Italian-type Mozzarella cheese.
Mozzarella Sticks Production
In order to increase the added value of the Mozzarella cheese we produce, we started producing coated Mozzarella Sticks.
Cheese Halva Production
Cheese Halva -> In order to continue our traditional production, we opened a new factory in Keshan to produce cheese halva, which is unique to Thrace region, and we offered Peysan cheese halva to the tables of all Turkish consumers.
